Koerner's 'The Hills' Chardonnay is a flinty, cool-climate white from brothers Damon and Jonathan Koerner, drawn off vineyards at Lenswood and Gumeracha in the Adelaide Hills. Made naturally - hand-harvested, free-run juice, wild-fermented in French oak puncheons and aged on lees - it shows powerful fruit framed by struck-match minerality and subtle oak. A textural, complex, modern Australian Chardonnay that scored 93 points from Halliday.
