The Unique is a blend of malted and un-malted cereal whisky, distilled in Scotland by both pot still and Coffey (continuous) still, then matured partly in Scotland and partly in France by the cult independent house Michel Couvreur in Bouze-les-Beaune, Burgundy. After around four years in oak it is reduced to 44% with Pentland Hills water and bottled without filtration. Opalescent, nervous and round.

Tasting notes

Opalescent; slight iodine notes with a hint of almond, vanilla roundness and floral fineness. Nervous and round, with dried grass, cream-tea biscuit and a citrus lift.
