Tasting notes
Okuharima sake is characteristically full of rice umami with a rich, savoury presence rather than a light, clean profile; the brewery is also well known for firm, dry (karakuchi) styles.
How to use
Serve chilled or at room temperature in a small sake cup; some Okuharima junmai styles also show well gently warmed. Keep refrigerated and consume within a reasonable time of opening.
Pairs with
Japanese cuisine such as sashimi, grilled fish and yakitori; also works with cheese and richer izakaya dishes.
