A distinctive Japanese craft gin from Echigo Yakuso (Echigo Herb Distillery) in Niigata Prefecture. Its base spirit is distilled from the alcohol generated while fermenting a wild-plant enzyme drink made from 80 botanicals, then redistilled with 20 further botanicals across seven small batches. The result is a highly aromatic, floral and herbaceous gin.

Fresh, fruity and lightly sweet with floral wildflower notes (rose, lavender, jasmine, chamomile, orange flower), a hint of spice and a distinctive ginseng-berry, oriental character.

How to use

Best in a classic G&T over ice; in cooler months serve with hot water, or as a hot gin sling with syrup. 20 botanicals include juniper, cedar leaf, fir, bergamot and yuzu peel, pink pepper, coriander seed, licorice, turmeric, caraway, fennel, ginger, clove, allspice, cardamom, angelica, celery seed, jasmine and green tea.
