Akashi 'Black' is the entry blended whisky from Eigashima's White Oak Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo prefecture, Japan's oldest licensed whisky distillery (license granted 1919). A blend of malt and grain whiskies aged on average around three to four years in ex-bourbon casks with an ex-sherry cask finish, bottled at 40% and non-chill filtered. Soft and approachable, it is a great-value introduction to the Japanese whisky category.
